How do we source our aeronautical charts?We utilize publicly available data for airspace to provide users with detailed aeronautical charts. These charts aim to replicate existing airspace structures as accurately as possible for planning purposes. It's important to note that we are not affiliated to any official aviation entity. Our dataset is enriched by contributions from a huge community of aviation enthusiasts worldwide, ensuring a broad and comprehensive collection of information. However, users should verify specific data points with official sources when making critical planning decisions.

Where do we get our weather data from?We currently get our weather data from Unisphere.de a German best-in-class weather intelligence specialist in smart software data-driven analytics solutions for flight operations of drones and eVTOLs. All the weather data provided by Unisphere is based on a 10 year period from 2013 to 2023. While our weather wind roses are not yet available in every locations worldwide, we hope to increase the number of locations as we progress in this exciting journey.

How and when was LYNEports born?LYNEports was born out of a necessity. In 2021 part of our team was responsible for evaluating possible vertiport locations worldwide in one of the top 5 eVTOL manufacturers. They were literally thousands of locations and it was an extremely daunting task. We were convinced there had to be a better way to use technologies like geolocation, 3D mapping, algorithms and AI to make this task easier… but there wasn’t. So we created it.

Who is behind LYNEports?Our founding team includes an architect vertiport specialist with deep knowledge on robotics and coding, an expert on airport planning and operations worldwide, a software programmer backed by more than a 150 software launches, and a brand creative director with a very unique marketing experience in the electric aerospace industry. Together we bring more than 20 years of experience in eVTOL, a sector that was born less than 10 years ago.

What is an eVTOL and why is it crucial to the future of aviation?Commonly also referred to as “air taxi” or “flying car”, an eVTOL is an electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing aircraft. The electric engines propulsion results in very low noise and zero operating emissions. It’s also required to meet the aviation safety standards that have made airplanes the safest mode of transportation in human history.

How can i send you my vertiport render?We’re always excited about LYNEports users sharing their experience. And what better way to do so than by sharing your work in LYNEports "Vertiports Around the World" gallery. We highly encourage you to submit your renders. Here's a quick and easy step by step of how to do it: 1. Once you’re happy with the angle, showing the vertiport and the environment, you can download a screenshot by clicking on the “Download render” icon in the top right menu. 2. For your convenience we recommend you optimize the image with Squoosh, a free, online image compressor by Google that significantly reduces file size while maintaining quality. It's super easy to use - just drag and drop your image. 3. Send your image to gallery@lyneports.com. Be sure to include your name, as well as the location of the vertiport (city and country are ideal). And that’s it. Happy vertiport planning.

I can see the map, but the vertiport model is not visible. What could be causing this?If you can see the map but not the vertiport model, it's possible that the model is positioned underneath an existing building or structure on the map. Try moving the vertiport model to a different location on the map to ensure it is not obstructed by any existing features.
