We are proud to announce that LYNEports has become a member of the European Commission’s Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation (AZEA). This alliance represents a key step in shaping the future of sustainable air mobility infrastructure and enhancing our ability to lead in the development of vertiport design for electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
The Alliance for Zero-Emission Aviation (AZEA) is a voluntary initiative that brings together public and private partners across the aviation ecosystem. Its objective is to prepare the market for the commercial service entry of hydrogen-powered and electric aircraft. The alliance focuses on identifying and addressing the challenges posed by these novel propulsion technologies, which will not only impact aircraft design but also the fuels, airport infrastructure, and operational processes required to support them.
As part of this initiative, LYNEports will work closely with industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to accelerate the transition to zero-emission aviation. Our role will focus on creating innovative infrastructure solutions to support this new era in air transport. The alliance prioritizes collaboration among stakeholders to overcome the technical and regulatory challenges that stand in the way of achieving zero-emission aviation, which aligns perfectly with LYNEports' mission to bridge airspace and ground planning for a sustainable future.
By 2050, the Alliance aims for 36% to 68% of intra-EU flights to be powered by zero-emission technologies, which could reduce CO2 emissions by 12% to 31%. LYNEports is excited to contribute to these goals by developing cutting-edge solutions for the deployment of hydrogen and electric aircraft, and to collaborate with AZEA members in fostering innovation that will lead to cleaner and more efficient aviation infrastructure.
