Your Profile

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with experience in developing complex GIS and simulation-based applications. You will work closely with our engineering team to enhance and develop our proprietary software solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of performance and usability.

Your Role

As a Software Engineer at LYNEports, you will work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about transforming urban air mobility. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Engineering and other key stakeholders, playing a critical role in the development and enhancement of our innovative software solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and make a significant impact in a rapidly evolving industry.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.

  • Experience with GIS technologies and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS).

  • Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or German is a plus.

  • Knowledge of the aviation and UAM industry is a plus.

Your Day to Day

  • Develop and maintain GIS-based software solutions for vertiport and drone port planning.

  • Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to implement new features and improvements.

  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code.

  • Perform testing and debugging of applications to ensure functionality and performance.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to the overall architecture and design of the software platform.

  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our software remains cutting-edge.
